Good Evening
This is a brief sumarization of my beliefs about democracy. As anybody can see, they are not always democratic, but I don't give a damn. They don't follow any order whatsoever, as I wrote them down as I remembered. Updates will be provided as long as I believe they are incomplete.
1. Lawyers must know law, as well as judges. So, why don't the people who MAKE the laws? Representatives should be obliged to know something about law, in order to be able to fulfil their accomplishments.
2. To lead un enterprise, you must know administration or related matters. The same should keep for presidents, governors and mayors, as they are going to manage a city (with you inside).
3. Retirement for political career should be FORBIDEN.
4. Political career should be forgiven. If somebody is elected representative, he or she should never be elected again, in order to prevent clientelism and ensure a broader participation of all citizens (or as much as possible).
5. Nobody should receive payment for a political seat. It is not a job, it is a WORK that is done for the country/state/city. It should not be pursued for money.
6. Public administrators and representatives should not have any rights of privacy while in their seats, as long as they are you, your voice, exerting power. Everything they do, any coin they spend, everything should be verifiable in order to ensure that he/she is doing well in representing you.
This post will be updated sooner or later.
